The Simulation - Ptolemy and SCCharts

In this page of the Confluence I will briefly (heh, probably not) summarize the simulation and its aspects. I want to help users of the ptolemy model (and the SCChart) to understand it and the physics behind it. It might be a difficult task, as I honestly don't exactly understand every little thing about the physics behind the model, but hopefully most of it.

This summary might also help me understand the model better or I might even find problems or mistakes in the process.

The physics is based mostly on the works of Matthias Hoeger (German: http://num.math.uni-bayreuth.de/de/thesis/2014/Hoeger_Matthias/BA_Matthias_Hoeger.pdf) and Teppo Luukkonen (English: http://sal.aalto.fi/publications/pdf-files/eluu11_public.pdf). There is a lot of information in these two theses, as well as in the sources they base their knowledge on.
