This guideline is a short introduction to the naming policy of the model railway track layout.

Bell

  • the bell itself: bell
  • number and square next to the bell: bell0

Lamps

  • lamp and the corresponding number (e.g. lamp0)

Points

  • point and the corresponding number (e.g. point0)

Railroad Crossing

  • number and circle: rc and the corresponding number (e.g. rc0)
  • closed railroad gates (long): gate and corresponding number (e.g. gate0)
  • open railroad gates (short): ogate and corresponding number (e.g. ogate0)

Signals

  • on unidirectional tracks: track name and chosen colour (e.g. OC_LN_2Red)
  • on bidirectional tracks: track name, direction and chosen colour (e.g. KH_ST_1fwdYellow or KH_ST_1revYellow)

Tracks

  • with branches: track and branch name merged with branch (e.g. KH_ST_0branchKIO_LN_0)
  • without branches: the corresponding track name (e.g. KH_ST_0)
